The State Relay Championships – where teamwork takes centre stage!
Get ready for one of the most fun and action-packed events of the season at the SA Athletics Stadium. The State Relay Championships give athletes the chance to join forces with their clubmates and take on a variety of track and field relays.
It’s all about team spirit and community – smaller clubs can combine with others to be part of the action, and even parents are invited to join in the fun!
The atmosphere is electric with the March Past parade, where clubs show off their colours (and costumes!) before the competition heats up. With medals awarded to the top three teams in every relay event and age group, there’s plenty of glory up for grabs. The march past theme this year is all about SLEIGH THE DAY! We can’t wait to see clubs bring the theme to life with all things Christmassy
Whether you’re sprinting, throwing, jumping, or cheering from the sidelines, the State Relay Championships is an unforgettable celebration of athletics, teamwork, and club pride!
Entries Open: 29 October 2025
Entries Close: 26 November 2025 (11.59pm) CLOSED!
Athletes must be a paid member by Sunday, 7 December 2025 to enter
Age Groups: Under 8 to Under 17
Fee: $36.00 (via the Center/Club)

Little Athletics SA x Backpacks 4 SA Kids – Holiday Toy Drive at the SA Power Networks Relay Championship!
This holiday season, Little Athletics SA is proud to be partnering with Backpacks 4 SA Kids to help spread joy to children and young people in need through their annual Holiday Toy Drive.
At this year’s SA Power Networks Relay Championship, we’re inviting all athletes, families, and supporters to come together and donate a new, unwrapped toy to help make the season brighter for kids across South Australia.
How you can get involved:
- Bring a toy to donate on the day of the Relay Championship.
- Drop off your donation early at the Little Athletics SA office prior to the event.
