Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills (ITLAS) Course

ALL PRACTICAL, NO EXAM, NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

The ITLAS is designed to help participants become better placed to assist children to perform basic athletic skills.

The course is great for those who want to know more about the skills of Athletics, so that they may help to coach children, assist at Little Athletics Centres or prepare students for school athletics carnivals.

Participants will be shown how to introduce and teach the fundamentals of each Little Athletics event to beginners.

DURATION: 1 day course – approximately 6 hours

COST: $75.00 per participant (includes coaching resources & certificate)

  • Access to the Athlete 3D App is available for an additional $25 with each course .
  • Participants must be 16 years of age at the time of the course to participate.


NOTE
The ITLAS is nationally recognised by Little Athletics Australia, however it is not an accredited course. Certificates of attendance will be presented at the completion of the course. Upon request, school teachers can also be provided with a “Teachers Professional Development” document to use the ITLAS towards their required professional learning.
