The Winter Season consists of Cross Country and Race Walking activities. Both programs welcome athletes of ALL abilities and provide a fun environment to try something new, fine tune your skills and keep active over the Winter!

Please note all registered members for the 2020-21 season do NOT need to register for the Winter Season, this is already included in your season membership. If you are new to Little Athletics SA and are interested in being involved with the Winter Season, you can register with a club that is open near you, or you can register directly with Little Athletics SA. Race Walking

The Race Walking Season gives athletes an opportunity to do something different and participate in competitions away from the athletics track! It is a great way for athletes to practice and work on their technique in a relaxed and friendly environment! The course utilises a paved pathway through the parklands, and is not conducted on a public road.

Cross Country

Little Athletics SA are very excited to launch the 2021 Cross Country Season.

Please Note: There is a $2.00 entry fee per athlete per meet throughout the season for Cross Country and Race Walking Meets that is payable on the day. There is no fee for the ‘Open’ or ‘Tiny Tots’ events.

National Cross Country

This year the Australian Cross-Country Championships will be held at Victoria Park, Adelaide from Saturday 21st August – Sunday 22nd August 2021.

Little Athletics SA and Athletics SA will be jointly responsible for selecting athletes in the age event championships and team event championships from U/14 to U/18 (incorporating Little Athletics age groups U/13 to U/17).

Athletes must attend and compete at the Athletics SA State Cross Country Championships to be eligible for selection for the South Australian team. All athletes must be registered with their applicable State Athletics Association and/or a member club.
