Championship Athlete Of The Year Criteria
Little Athletics SA hosts an Annual Awards Nights at the closing of our Summer Season to celebrate our wonderful Athletes, Officials, Coaches, Volunteers and everyone involved in the Little Athletics Community.
There is a winner from each group that wins the Championship Athlete Of The Year Award, which gets awarded to the athlete that has the most overall points. Please see below the criteria for all athletes:
- Athletes will be awarded points across both State Individual and Combined Championships.
- No other Championships or events will contribute to the overall points.
- Points will be based on the athletes’ top 3 placings at the State Individual and Combined Championships.
- Breaking State Best Performances and Australian Best Performances will also attract points (there will be no bonus points for equaling SBP or ABP).
- Gold – 5 points
- Silver – 3 points
- Bronze – 1 point
- SBP – 3 points
- ABP – 5 points
Awards will be presented to winners at the SALAA Annual Awards Night.
