The State Cross Country Championships is the final Competition of the 2019 Little Athletics SA Winter Season.

Athletes compete across a variety of fun and adventurous terrain at Carisbrooke Park, to test their Cross Country skills and ability. In the Under 9 to Under 17, Rec Aths and Mums & Dads categories, athletes cover varying distances with the the top three across the line in each age group/category and gender awarded medals. There are also fantastic courses available to the Under 6 to Under 8 athletes and Tiny Tots participants as well.

REMINDER: Athletes in the Under 9 to Under 17 age groups and Recreational Athletes must have competed in 3 Cross Country season meets in their age group to be eligible to participate in the Championships. For the Tiny Tots and Under 6 to Under 8 athletes it is recommended that you participate in at least one season meet. Mums & Dads enter for their event on the day.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Qualification Standards
– There are NO qualification standards for the State Cross Country Championships.

Eligibility Requirements (LASA Rule 709 – Standard Competition Rules 2018-2019)
– An athlete must be registered with a Little Athletics SA affiliated centre by no later than Sunday 30th June 2019 (LASA Rule 709 – 1).
– Under 9 to Under 17 Athletes and Recreational Athletes must have participated in 3 Cross Country meets in their age group by Monday 15th July 2019 (LASA Rule 709 – 19).
