2019 Race Walking Season

COST: $2.00 per meet for Under 6 – Under 17’s. NOTE: You must be a registered Little Athletics SA Member to participate in events at Race Walking Meets. If you did not register for the 2018/19 Summer Season, CLICK HERE to register for a Winter Season Membership!The Race Walking Season gives athletes an opportunity to participate in race walking events away from the athletics track. U6 to U8 athletes can participate in a fun event, and U9 to U17 athletes can participate in a race walking event under the eyes and guidance of experienced race walking judges.Meets are conducted by the SA Race Walkers Club (SARWC) at their home location in the Adelaide Parklands.It is a great way for athletes to practice and work on their technique in a relaxed and friendly environment! The course utilises a paved pathway through the parklands, and is not conducted on a public road.

It is also a great educational opportunity for any centre members, parents or general volunteers to learn how to judge race walking! Anyone is welcome to the meets, where the lovely and experienced judges will teach you how to officiate the event and act as mentors to help you get a good understanding.
